Environment

At Marriott, we believe everyone has a role to play in protecting our environment. We work in partnership with our hotel owners
to implement sustainable business practices, including conservation of natural resources, protection of indigenous wildlife, and
recycling waste wherever possible. We are also committed to being responsive to the environmental interests and concerns of
our guests, associates, business partners and communities.

As a member of "Green Leaf" and "ECHO - Environmental Conscious Hospitality Operation, the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa
has initiated various activities to educate our associates in energy saving:

Educating them to use the stairs instead of elevators.
Provided bulletin boards where we report other energy saving ideas. We are conserving and protecting natural resources:
Reducing pollution by using " environmentally friendly" cleaning chemicals.
Separating garbage (dry or wet waste).
We built a Compost Shed at our staff quarters so we can produce our own fertilizers / composts for the resort's gardens.
We have produced a Garden Walk booklet about our gardens to stimulate guest and associate interest in nature and environmental matters.
Re-using waste water for the garden.
We using recycle printer cartridges, waste food for pigs and recycled paper from copy machines.
We use recycled bags for laundry.
We installed photocell controls on exterior lighting.
